Apussuit Adventure Camp
Apussuit Adventure Camp is
Greenland's biggest and
only ski
sport resort with direct access to the 1000 meter
high Apussuit glacier. The area covers 250 square
kilometers. Apussuit is located 25 kilometers from Maniitsoq.
The oldest building
is from the late
seventies
and the newest one was built in 2003.
On top of the glacier is a plain with soft hills at an
altitude of 800-1100 meters, which makes it one of
the best cross-country areas in the world. This is
why it has been chosen as a training camp for some
of world's best cross-country skiers. But any cross-country
skier will enjoy skiing in this beautiful
spot.
On the sides of the glacier skiers and snowboarders
can go off-piste and if this is not
enough, it is possible to do day trips on snowmobiles
to the huge Kangerlusuatsiaq glacier north of
Apussuit. Here, even the most demanding skier will
find great challenges. Apussuit Adventure Camp Aps
is also used as base camp for a lot of the ski
touring activities.
The camp consists of a number of cabins with a
capacity of 24 guests. The cabins are heated and
there are good toilet and bathing facilities (hot
water). A generator based power system supplies the
camp with electricity.

Also many visitors come from abroad to enjoy
Apussuit and its unique possibilities.
The Royal
Danish family has visited Apussuit on 2 occasions
(last time during the Royal visit to Maniitsoq in
the summer of 2004).
Apussuit
Adventure Camp offers you 2 group packages. There is
room for 24 people at the same time.
Apussuit Adventure Camp will be open from the middle
of March to the end of June.
